Captain Steven Lucks, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, feels liberated. He’s 46 pounds lighter and plans to keep going.

Keeping the weight off wasn’t always a problem. “You had to stay in shape in the Navy,” says Steven. “While I was in Iraq, the food was very natural and good. Nothing was processed. But I got home and started eating a lot of fast food. My weight went up, and it was tearing down my body, especially my joints.
