Reclassification

Reliv has established a Preferred Customer program which allows customers to enjoy discounts on our products for a low yearly fee.  We are extending the Preferred Customer program to our current Distributors who do not actively pursue a Reliv business, but still love our products.

Thousands of our valued Distributors, who enjoy our world-class nutritional products and take advantage of the discounts they receive on those products, will now be able to retain their same discounts, reduce their annual fee and receive other benefits.  Do you have questions?  We have answers!

How does the reclassification from Distributor to Preferred Customer work?
Current Distributors at 20-35% profit levels and not pursuing the Reliv business opportunity will be reclassified as Preferred Customers unless they choose to “opt out” of the program. Distributors reclassified to Preferred Customers will receive the same product discount they currently enjoy as Distributors. Current Distributors eligible for the reclassification will receive a letter that will explain the program. The Distributor can either “opt out” of the reclassification, in which case they remain a Distributor, or do nothing and be converted to a Preferred Customer (enjoying the same product discount they currently receive as a Distributor).

What are the advantages to a Distributor being reclassified as a Preferred Customer?

  • Same Discount - Continue to receive the same outstanding Reliv nutritional products at their current discount level.
  • Reduced Annual Renewal Fee - Pay a $20 annual Preferred Customer renewal fee vs. a $40 annual Distributor renewal fee.
  • Reduced Shipping on Autoships - Reduced shipping on minimum orders of $150 up to $499.99*!
  • Pay Less in Sales Tax - Preferred Customers pay sales tax based on the discounted price of products vs Distributors who pay sales tax based on the retail price of products. By being a Preferred Customer, they save on sales taxes calculated on orders and eliminate the need to file a personal consumption refund request.
  • Personalized Messaging - Reliv will be able to better tailor product and other offerings to them.
  • Enhanced Privacy – Reliv will no longer require their social security number or tax ID and it will be removed from the company database.

Are there any disadvantages to the program?
No, if a Distributor reclassified to Preferred Customer decides at any time and for any reason to revert back to a Distributor, he or she will be reinstated at their previous position and profit level.  We hope they do. The reinstated Distributor will not be required to purchase another Distributor Enrollment Package or pay any enrollment fee and will retain the same Reliv Record Control Number (RCN). They will just need to pay the standard Distributor renewal fee when it becomes due.

What does a Distributor need to do to participate in the program and become a Preferred Customer retaining his or her same product discounts?
Nothing because as described above, if an eligible Distributor does not opt out of the program, he or she will automatically become a Preferred Customer with the same discount rates they currently enjoy.

What if a Distributor eligible to be reclassified as a Preferred Customer would rather remain a Distributor?
All they need to do is “opt out” of the reclassification program by following the directions included in the reclassification letter they receive from Reliv by the date specified in the letter.

Which Distributors are eligible to be reclassified as Preferred Customers?
Distributors at the 20-35% profit level that have been enrolled for at least 12 months that:

  • Have not received a compensation check from Reliv in the last 12 months, and
  • Have no downline Distributors or customers

When will the reclassification program be available?
Reliv intends to send reclassification letters to Distributors eligible to participate in the program beginning in March 2022 and phase in the program over the following months. As a result, groups of Distributors will receive notices and be reclassified at different dates. The letters sent to Qualifying Distributors will explain the program and specify the date by which they need  to “opt out” of the reclassification, if that is their wish. Distributors not opting out of the reclassification by the date specified will be reclassified as Preferred Customers.

What markets will the reclassification program be offered in?
Initially, the reclassification program will be made available only in the US, however Reliv is considering introducing the program into other markets.

Will the reclassification program be made available every year?
Going forward, Reliv plans to offer reclassification on an annual basis to eligible Distributors with the same “opt out” option.

How will reclassification of a Distributor to a Preferred Customer affect his or her upline Distributors?
Purchases by a Distributor who has been reclassified as a Preferred Customer will continue to be included in the upline Distributor’s Personal Group Volume.  One benefit to the upline Distributor is that the reclassified Distributor is now a Preferred Customer which may help the upline Distributor qualify for certain promotions, such as Promo 1. Corporate messaging to Preferred Customers will be customized based on their interest in Reliv products.
